Please view our benefits page Job Overview: Under the direction of management of the Nutrition department, this position is responsible to coordinate patient meal service food on all units of assigned teams. Ensure Catering Associates are adequately trained and units are properly staffed to provide service. Performs shadow reports and patient meal service visitations. Ensure communication of patient food issues/concerns are relayed between Food & Nutrition Services and Nursing. Interacts with Nursing in regards to patient nutrition needs or requirements. React accurately and effectively to all changes to ensure efficient timing of services, accuracy of physician's ordered modified diets. Is familiar with dietary restrictions on special, modified diets to ensure optimal food preferences are met within guidelines of diet order limitations. Ensures that Food Safety and Sanitation guidelines are followed at all times. Leads and participates in daily staff huddles. Responsible for quality service reflected in internal or external patient satisfaction survey results on assigned units. Must function as a team player and provide support between all areas of Nutrition and Nursing departments. Provides prompt, courteous, friendly service and performs Service Recovery. Job Requirements: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent relevant experience or 1 year in prior TriHealth Nutrition role is acceptable in lieu of minimum education. (Required) 3 - 4 years experience in a related field (Required) Able to read and perform basic math calculations Reading and writing skills Job Responsibilities: Interacts and ensures communication with Nursing, dietitians, etc in regards to patient nutrition needs or requirements Assists and supports all areas of the Nutrition department. Distributes workload with CAs when understaffed or assists if one unit has over 30 patient load or act as CA on unit Accurately inputs patient registration information and updates patient insurance and demographic information, charges, coding and payments. Has knowledge of diet modifications, restrictions, menus etc to ensure food preferences are met within guidelines of diet order Ensures Catering Associates are adequately trained and units are properly staffed.
