Electrician (Night Shift) – Mascot, NSW Location: Mascot, NSW, 2020 Company: BGIS, Major Transport & Infrastructure Environment Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent, On-Site Hours: 38 hours per week Shift Structure: Sunday – Thursday, 10pm – 6pm Other Information: PPE, iPad, iPhone, uniform, pool vehicle and free on-site parking. Purpose of the Role BGIS is seeking a qualified Electricians (Night Shift) to join a newly awarded, high-profile transport environment contract. This role has been created due to continued growth and will play a key part in maintaining safe, reliable, and uninterrupted electrical services across a highly visible, 24/7 operational setting. Working as part of a supportive and collaborative team, you will deliver both planned and reactive electrical maintenance while contributing to the smooth running of a complex, fast-moving environment. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, team-oriented, and confident working in dynamic environments where safety, precision, and responsiveness are essential. Key Responsibilities Deliver preventative and corrective electrical maintenance across a range of assets and systems Respond to breakdowns and urgent faults within required response times Work within a shift-based roster supporting 24/7 operations Complete and update work orders accurately within CMMS systems Support emergency response activities and ensure assets are made safe Follow strict safety, compliance, and operational procedures at all times Collaborate with trades, FM Hub, and operational teams to coordinate works Contribute to identifying recurring issues and improving asset reliability Education, Experience & Skills Essential: Trade qualification as a licensed Electrician Current electrical licence (NSW or equivalent) Experience in maintenance within commercial, industrial, or infrastructure environments Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills Understanding of WHS, electrical standards, and compliance requirements Experience using CMMS systems (e.g. Maximo or similar) Ability to work shift work including nights, weekends, and on-call rotations Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to work in fast-paced, high-visibility operational environments Desirable: Experience in aviation, transport, or critical infrastructure environments Exposure to highly regulated operational sites ASIC clearance (or ability to obtain) Workplace Flexibility This is a fully on-site, shift-based role within a 24/7 operational environment.
