Activity Therapist - Psychiatry and Psychology

Available .75 or .8 FTE. Functions as an interdisciplinary team member to meet patient and family needs. Responsible for coordinating, planning, delivery and documentation of quality activity therapy programming services to all patients, as appropriate to the patient's age and developmental level. Works with patients individually and in groups, on unit, day, evening, weekend and holiday activities. *This vacancy is not eligible for sponsorship / we will not sponsor or transfer visas for this position.

Bachelor's degree in allied health or related field. Preferred recreation, art, and/or music therapy experience. Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Knowledge of activity therapy skills to include music, recreation, art/creative therapies. Ability to effectively use activity therapy skills with patients. Flexibility of work schedule, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays. Basic computer skills. Leadership, problem solving, and team building skills. Knowledge of basic improvement concepts and techniques. Previous work experience/internship in behavioral health/chemical dependency, preferred.
