Head of Engineering & Projects (Modulus)

Sanofi's Manufacturing and Supply organization is preparing its future through an ambitious program named Modulus . The Modulus Project is at the cornerstone of Sanofi's strategy, aiming to create a new manufacturing concept: a new generation of evolutive multi-product facilities — modular, adaptable and agile — leveraging disruptive technologies to better address vaccine business challenges as well as Specialty Care Biologics products.

We are looking for an experienced engineering leader with hands-on expertise in biopharma/API process engineering and automation controls, and a strong track record delivering projects from feasibility through execution and controls.

The ideal candidate is comfortable in a dynamic environment, brings structured thinking and cross-functional collaboration skills, and enjoys developing high-performing teams.

Reporting to the Head of Site Engineering & Maintenance (Modulus) who sits in the Site Leadership Team , the Head of Engineering & Projects (Modulus) leads the Engineering and Projects sub-function within the Tuas Modulus Site Engineering & Maintenance team, with accountability for Tier 3 capital projects, technical engineering support, and team leadership within that scope.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills

• Only candidates with strong technical acumen, a proven track record in leading equipment/process troubleshooting and commissioning efforts, and the ability to provide hands-on guidance and mentorship to engineers should apply.
• Only candidate with prior GxP experience need to apply
• Degree or Master in Engineering (Chemical / Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial & Systems)
• Minimum 10 years of cumulative experience in Project Management, C&Q and Process Engineering in biopharmaceuticals or API manufacturing. Only candidate with all three areas of expertise will be considered.
• Proven track record in planning, executing, and monitoring large-scale projects
• Hands-on experience with DeltaV automation systems, instrument connectivity, and equipment design is advantageous, with the ability to engage directly at the technical level when required.
• Demonstrated hands-on technical capability, with a proven ability to work alongside engineers on the floor, troubleshoot complex issues directly, and lead by example rather than by setting direction alone
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address technical issues
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiar with local statutory requirements, pharmaceutical industry regulations including GMP and FDA standards.

• Strong people management skills and demonstrated ability to work with cross functional teams
