The PIMC nursing team facilitates nursing cares which mimic a step down intensive care unit versus an acute floor. The patients cared for on the PIMC involve multiple organ system failures and range from 1 day old to 18 years old (sometimes up to 22 years old if still followed by pediatric physicians). PIMC admits from a variety of locations and service lines.
