Patient Placement Coordinator

The Patient Placement Coordinator has the primary responsibility of reviewing and assigning bed placements for patients requiring admission to units within an acute care ministry within Providence Oregon. This includes admissions from emergency departments, direct admissions, future admissions, inter-unit transfers, and surgical placements. Chart review and/or calls to clarify bed criteria will be performed to assure appropriate bed placement. The Patient Placement Coordinator collaborates with nursing, physicians, EVS, transportation, and others to define, reduce and eliminate barriers within the system which may impede patient flow.
