Application Architect Manager

Summary

Translate client needs and challenges into solutions, support envisioning, architectural assessments, technology choice, and estimates in Software Engineering.

As an Application Architect, you will design cloud-based solutions, collaborate with clients, partners and others and drive the roll-out of cloud management platforms. You will oversee a cross-functional team, mentor team members, and recommend changes in development standards. Your role will be pivotal in creating an environment that fosters accountability, quality, and innovation. Together we do what matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate client needs and challenges into effective solutions
• Support envisioning and architectural assessments
• Guide technology choice and provide accurate estimates
• Define and drive the best solutions to meet technical performance needs
• Oversee and manage a cross-functional development team
• Coach, mentor, and motivate team members
• Recommend changes in development and system standards
• Develop custom applications in C#/ .Net and Microsoft Azure
• Develop integration services and APIs
• Leverage cloud technologies and DevOps practices for solution development
• Create conceptual architecture and solution design materials
• Use AI (GitHub Copilot) and other accelerator to deliver proof of value projects and in larger programmes of work to support architecture analysis and design.
• Lead the development of solutions to meet client specifications
• Implement APIs and Microservices, integrating with external systems
• Oversee and manage a cross-functional development team
• Support Solution Architects with solution design and estimation of opportunities.

• Skills and experiences

• Experience in architecture development , technical planning and cost optimisation/FinOps on the Microsoft Platform
• Advanced skills in developing greenfield, performant microservice-based application architectures
• Experience of delivering proof of value projects and driving this to bigger opportunities
• Ability to lead a pplication t ransformation discovery, design and delivery, including integration platform transformation
• Advanced expertis e in C# /Net
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure AI and experience in use of GitHub Copilot to support architecture design and delivery
• Proficient in RESTful services, Microservices, ASP.Net Core
• Experience with Azure Compute, Storage, and PaaS services
• Skilled in SQL Server, Azure SQL, and Entity Framework
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes / AKS
• Proficient in Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub, Maven, Jenkins , etc.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert qualification
