For our client we are looking for a Logistics Engineer

Job description

We are looking for a Logistics Engineer to work with Transport Planning. In this assignment you will be operational with responsibility across a wide range of business areas. Purpose is to handle outbound distribution of cars. This function is critical to manage the timely shipping of cars on a daily basis. Our customer is mandated and have a commitment to deliver on time, on budget with a service mind-set. The main tasks are:

• Transport Planning Regional and / or Intercontinental
• Book transports
• Monitor carrier transport performance and act on deviations
• Drive Carrier Management to improve operational performance
• Execute transport documentation for export markets
• Interact with stakeholders within our customers compaany and Importers to address concerns or issues and report feedback regarding process improvements. This will involve travel to various sites in Sweden and Europe as needed.

Required skills

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in logistics or supply chain
• Strong customer-focus and service mind-set with the ability to build and maintain relationships both internally and externally
• Experience of managing multiple complex relationships
• Understanding of general freight forwarding rules/regulations e.g. Inco-terms
• Good understanding of transportation documentation and export requirements.
• Strong English language skills, spoken and written
