Required Experiences and Education
- Master of Science or equivalent in Engineering, Statistics, Appl. mathematics or Computer Sc.
- 5 years' experience with data analytics tools
- 5 years’ experience in an engineering, aftermarket or warranty environment within the automotive industry
- Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written
The following are considered strong merits
Previous experience with SAS tools
Previous experience working with Data Analytics or Supplier Warranty Recovery
Previous experience working with the Group IT delivery teams for QRAFT and UCHP

The Quality and Warranty Data Analytics team is responsible for setting the strategic roadmap for analytics methods as well as supporting the business with advanced quality & warranty data analyses. We work closely with our colleagues from GTT Quality & Customer Satisfaction (Q&CS), but we also support other engineering functions in quality and warranty matters globally within the Volvo Group.
We can offer you to play a key role in leading the development of advanced analytics to ensure world class customer satisfaction and quality performance. In this position you will belong to a global GTT team, joining colleagues who share your passion for analytics. Main activities and responsibilities
As a Lead Data Analyst, with special responsibility for Supplier Warranty Recovery (SWR), you are an experienced problem solver who works with advanced analytics in a challenging area. Your analytics expertise derives equally from your data driven problem solving skills and from your deep product and domain expertise within Volvo Group.
You will be responsible for driving strategic projects within the SWR area of quality and warranty analytics, supporting the business plan developed by the SWR team. You will drive all phases of problem solving, from the initial business needs to understanding, structuring and modeling the data and finally giving recommendations to engineers and management teams.
A large part of your job will be leading a team of senior data analysts and SAS developers within Q&CS in order to implement the reporting solutions needed by SWR, while at the same time securing an optimal use of Q&CS resources and making sure the development is in line with IT development guidelines.
Furthermore you will
- Support the solving of urgent quality issues with advanced analytics
- Manage complex challenges in areas of data mining, optimization and data visualization
- Improve GTT quality and warranty processes and teams by developing the tools, methods & routines required
- Represent Q&CS and GTT in relevant work groups and steering committees
