Occupational Therapist

• An inclusive and highly respected child development centre in Cairns is seeking an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join their team.

The Team & Workplace

The allied health team consists of 10+ professionals, including OTs, speech pathologists, and early childhood educators. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and develop tailored intervention plans for children with sensory, motor, and cognitive needs.
• Implement individual and group therapy sessions aimed at enhancing daily functioning.
• Collaborate with families and educators to support generalisation of therapy outcomes.
• Participate in regular team meetings and case reviews.
• Document and report in line with professional and NDIS standards.

What You’ll Need

• Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Full registration with AHPRA.
• Experience in paediatric therapy (new grads also encouraged to apply).
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Strong organisational skills and commitment to ethical, client-centred care.
• OTs on visa 417 seeking regional work are welcome to apply.

Desirable Experience

• NDIS experience highly regarded.
• Familiarity with sensory integration, play-based therapy, or school-based support.
