About The Role

  • Kitchen Sanitation Associates assist with keeping the Production Kitchen areas in compliance with sanitation guidelines provided by management and quality control teams.
  • Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to
  • Clean production facility, offices, and break rooms
  • Sweep and mop all uncarpeted floors
  • Remove trash from all garbage cans; clean/sanitize inside and outside of garbage cans
  • Clean all bathroom facilities, including toilets, urinals, mirrors, sinks, floors, walls, doors
  • Empty garbage from operations office, break rooms, production prep room, dish room, hot kitchen and outside of the building
  • Break down boxes and collect cardboard in the prep room
  • Set up can disposal for prep room operations and maintain that area throughout the process
  • Inspect dishes as needed
  • Assist with hanging plastic for condensation and wiping condensation spots in all kitchen areas as required
  • Regularly re-stock supplies in the break room and restrooms
  • Use all required safety equipment and consistently follow all food-related sanitation and operating safety guidelines
  • Take the initiative to assist with general cleaning tasks in the work area, remove clutter and garbage from area as needed
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Clean, sanitize, and maintain facility and equipment to USDA, FDA, and internal sanitation standards

Required Skills and Experience

  • Basic communication skills; must be able to speak and understand English
  • Must be able to work with cleaning chemicals and equipment in a safe and knowledgeable manner
  • Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions.
  • Must be able to listen and follow direct instructions

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Previous work-related experience
  • Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and/or USDA food standards

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to use hands to feel, grab, or operate objects, tools, and controls while reaching with hands and arms
  • Frequently required to stand, communicate, and listen.
  • Occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel or crouch.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Visual perception to perform job including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Able to perform repetitive movements
  • Able to work in variable temperatures (cold/hot)
