About The Role

Our client is seeking an individual with outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills

to serve as its Director of Operations a key administrative staff member of the religious organization.

● Acting as the primary point of contact for individuals inquiring about services the organization provides, answering questions about the get process and providing empathetic support when needed

● Managing the organization's calendar, actively coordinating scheduling and overseeing billing and receipt of

payments.

Job requirements include

  • ● Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • ● Ability to take initiative and think creatively;
  • ● Excellent organizational skills;
  • ● Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
  • ● Exceptional interpersonal skills and an ability to work collaboratively;
  • ● Basic computer skills required, including familiarity and comfort with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets,
  • Forms, and Gmail). Experience with social media, Wordpress, QuickBooks, and any type of
  • database, CRM, or case/task management system is a plus; and
  • ● Complete tasks and projects that require a high level of skill and attention to detail.
  • This is a full time position. Remote work on Fridays (9 am - 1:30 pm during winter months). In office for
  • the remaining days, although there may be flexibility to add one additional weekly work from home day.
  • Off for legal and Jewish holidays (including Chol Hamoed). Salary and benefits commensurate with
  • experience.

Two important additional notes

  1. Operational Transition. Currently, many clerical tasks are handled by office staff members.
  • Shortly after this hire, we plan to bring on full-time offshore administrative support to take on the
  • bulk (approximately 80%) of these clerical responsibilities. The new hire will play a key role in
  • transitioning these tasks to the offshore assistant, and will oversee their work going forward. The
  • new hire will retain responsibility for the 20% of clerical tasks that must be handled in person or
  • cannot be outsourced. Additionally, they will be expected to delegate routine scheduling and
  • billing tasks where possible, freeing up time to focus on higher-level responsibilities, team
  • coordination, and process improvements.
  1. Organizational Culture and Growth Opportunities. The company is a small
  • organization (including the new hire, three full time employees and one part time employee) with
  • an entrepreneurial spirit and a growing vision. We’re currently working to expand our impact by
  • educating the broader Jewish community about our services.
  • Our plans include enhancing our website, developing more online and video content, and
  • strengthening our presence on social media. While the new hire’s core responsibilities will center
  • on office management and scheduling, we’re also seeking someone who brings fresh creativity,
  • initiative, and a willingness to contribute to broader organizational growth.
