Remote Senior Plumbing & Mechanical Piping BIM Specialist (Construction / VDC)

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Plumbing & Mechanical Piping BIM Specialist to join a growing U.S.-based VDC team supporting complex commercial, industrial, and mission-critical projects.

This is not a design-focused position . We are looking for someone with a strong construction-side mindset who understands how plumbing and mechanical piping systems are fabricated, coordinated, and installed in the field.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience developing fabrication-ready BIM models , producing shop drawings , supporting prefabrication , resolving coordination issues, and working closely with construction teams throughout project execution.

Responsibilities

• Develop highly detailed Plumbing and Mechanical Piping BIM models using Revit and Revit Fabrication Parts .
• Produce fabrication-ready models, shop drawings, spool drawings, and installation documentation.
• Perform multidisciplinary MEP coordination using Navisworks and BIM workflows.
• Identify and resolve clashes and constructability issues before construction.
• Support prefabrication by producing accurate fabrication models, spool assemblies, and quantity takeoffs.
• Model piping systems, hangers, supports, sleeves, penetrations, and fabrication assemblies.
• Coordinate directly with project managers, VDC teams, engineers, fabricators, and field personnel.
• Ensure models accurately reflect installation requirements and construction sequencing.
• Participate in coordination meetings and proactively resolve field coordination challenges.
• 5+ years of experience in Plumbing and/or Mechanical Piping BIM modeling.
• Strong proficiency with Revit .
• Advanced experience using Revit Fabrication Parts .
• Strong working knowledge of Navisworks .
• Proven experience producing shop drawings , spool drawings , and fabrication-ready BIM models.
• Strong construction-side experience supporting fabrication, prefabrication, installation, and field coordination.
• Solid understanding of constructability, installation sequencing, clash detection, and BIM coordination.
• Experience modeling plumbing and mechanical piping systems for commercial, industrial, healthcare, mission-critical, or data center projects.
• Direct experience working on U.S. projects , with knowledge of U.S. construction practices and standards.
• Experience collaborating with U.S.-based engineering and construction teams.
• Senior-level professional capable of working independently, owning project deliverables, and moving projects forward with minimal supervision.
• Professional English communication skills.
• Available to join the team in the short term.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with domestic water, sanitary, storm, gas, and specialty plumbing systems.
• Experience with mechanical piping prefabrication workflows.
• Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and BIM 360.
• Experience supporting data center or mission-critical projects.
