Role Description
- We are seeking a dedicated and detail oriented Finance professional to join our finance team,
- supporting financial operations for a US entity. The ideal candidate should be a senior resource
- with 5–6 years of relevant experience, preferably in the insurance or reinsurance industry, and
- possess hands-on expertise in NetSuite. The role involves managing core finance functions
- including bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, treasury operations, payroll, and US
- tax compliances. Additionally, the candidate will play a key role in supporting month-end
- closures and preparing MIS reports, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
Responsibilities
Bookkeeping, Invoicing and Management Information Systems (MIS)
- ~Financial Records: Maintain and update accurate financial records in the company’s accounting system, including ledgers, journals, and balance sheets.
- ~Invoicing: Prepare and raise premium invoices in line with signed contracts and Bordereaux shared, record them in the ERP system, and actively follow up for collections.
- ~MIS Reporting: Assist in the preparation of management reports and financial summaries using MIS tools to provide insights to management.
- ~Vendor Relations: Maintain accurate vendor records and manage relationships to facilitate smooth financial operations.
- ~Cash Management: Assist in managing cash flows and ensuring adequate liquidity for operational needs.
- ~Bank Transactions: Support in the processing and monitoring of bank transactions, including vendor payments, Interco receipts and payments.
Accounts Payable and Treasury Function
- ~Invoice Processing: Process vendor invoices, verify accuracy, and ensure timely payment in accordance with company policies.
- ~Statutory compliance: Collection of W9 from consultants and filing of form 1099
Payroll Compliances
- ~Timely remittance of statutory deductions like FIT, Social Security, Medicare, SIT, Local/City Tax, and SDI/PFL (state-specific) as applicable in US.
- ~Regulatory Reporting: Assist in preparing and submitting payroll compliance reports to regulatory authorities.
Tax Compliances
- Tax Filings: Assist in preparing and filing of federal and state tax returns (1120,
- 1140 & 1099), including payroll and sales tax filings ensuring compliance with US
- regulations.
- Regulatory Updates: Stay updated with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure
- ongoing compliance.
A udit Coordination
- Audit Preparation: Prepare and organize financial documents and records for statutory
- audits in US.
- Audit Support: Provide necessary data and reports to auditors and assist in responding
- to audit queries.
Additional Support
- Group Accounts: Support in the preparation and consolidation of group financial
- statements as required.
- Performing Inter company reconciliation, and preparation necessary
- schedules/workings for calculation of Interest
Requirements
- ~Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
- ~5-6 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounts payable, treasury, compliance, or
- related areas.
- ~Basic understanding of financial accounting regulations, including various applicable
- tax laws required for US entities.
- ~Experience with NetSuite & Sage ERP systems and payroll processing tools.
- ~Familiarity with US audit processes and requirements.
- ~Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities along with attention to detail and organizational skills.
- ~Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- ~Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
