About The Role

As a LPSQ Officer (m/f/d) at BSM, you will be responsible for supporting the safe and compliant operation of vessels by coordinating audits, inspections, and corrective actions in line with international maritime standards. Acting as a key link between ship and shore, you will ensure adherence to regulations, maintain accurate records, and contribute to continuous improvement in safety, quality, and environmental performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain internal and external audit schedules in compliance with legislation and company procedures.
  • Collaborating with superintendents on day-to-day operations
  • Monitor audit execution, follow up on findings, and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
  • Arrange and track compliance audits under ISM, ISPS, and ISO requirements
  • Liaise with governmental and maritime bodies to stay updated on regulatory changes and support implementation
  • Prepare and maintain records, reports, and statistics related to audits and inspections
  • Assist in compiling and analyzing data for LPSQ procedures and activities
  • Maintain and update technical publications and ensure availability of current editions
  • Support incident investigations and contribute to accurate reporting systems

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or certificate in a maritime-related field

Skills & Competencies

  • Familiarity with vessel’s operations preferable
  • Strong knowledge of ISM, ISPS, ISO guidelines and maritime law.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English and very good knowledge of the local language.
