Vice President HR – Function HR for Engineering

Requirements

You will bring to the role strong business insight in terms of how GTT operates, what the business strategies are, and how financial and commercial acumen are critical considerations that shape HR and people plans.

People data and interpreting analytics are important in providing insights and solutions to drive decision-making. You will be comfortable driving and challenging the business leaders where you can add a differing view point/consideration. A command of financial budgeting, unit P&Ls and general numeracy is key.

Educated to Degree level or equivalent

Experience of working in complex global multi-national organisations and in a matrix environment

Strong project management skills and able to demonstrate experience of leading complex HR projects through a complete project life-cycle

Significant strategic HR Business Partnering experience, including managing complex business change

Self-starter with a drive to make things happen at pace

Strong emotional intelligence, listening, influencing and coaching skills

Resilience

Excellent commercial and analytical skills

We are looking for a proven VP HR Engineering to help us take care of our most important asset–our people.

Your accountabilities and responsibilities?

GTT HR is on a change journey to strive towards the goals of delivering HR excellence in HR operations and supporting the business on it technology quest to be the most desired and successful transport solution provider in the world.

You will provide end-to-end Human Resources support in one of our major Engineering areas. You will have full responsibility for driving the people strategy/agenda in your Engineering function, working closely with the SVP of the function, and be a member of their leadership team.

A true generalist HRBP role, you will be competent in all areas of HR, and be comfortable working with an international environment. You will have excellent stakeholder management, with the ability to instantly build a strong rapport with the management team you support.

You will bring a versatile, innovative, cutting edge and solutions focused approach. A true business partner, you will be innovative and consultative in your approach, and comfortable bringing a blended strategic and hands on approach to the table.

The Role

You will understand and translate the function’s business direction into people plans; you will apply your strong commercial and financial acumen and data analytics capability to be a real strategic partner to the business.

You will be responsible for implementing the people plan with a focus on

• Strategic support for business change and organisational shaping
• Workforce planning, recruitment and onboarding
• Talent management and succession planning
• Leadership coaching and team effectiveness
• Leading the HR aspects of acquisition and divestment work affecting the functions
• Culture and employee engagement
• Although this role has no direct reports influencing and working with HR colleagues across the business will be key.
