As the Head IT architect MAS/DCL you must have proven experience from working in the IT architecture area, good knowledge of the EA framework and IT architecture framework.

You also must have experience within the area of MAS/DCL.

We are looking for you that are committed to the IT architectural area and are recognised and trusted by your peers.

You are expected to create a trustful relationship with your stakeholder which will be both in Group IT, P&IT within the different Truck Brands and Business area as well as with the CIO Office.

Required competencies

Documented work experience in the area.

Several years of experience of assignments in software architecture, information and integration architecture

Experience from leading in a global context, cross cultural awareness and skills

Relevant university degree

Excellent communication & presentation skills are a requirement

Complete proficiency in English is a requirement

Required leadership skills

Have a strong business focus and is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of the business

Have the ability to, in an inspiring way, communicate vision, strategy and objectives

Have proven capacity to execute against set targets

Have the ability to set right priorities and eliminate roadblocks

Have shown managerial courage and the ability to deal with ambiguity

Solution Unit MAS/DCL

Solution Unit MAS/DCL “Market and Sell Total Offer/Deliver & Develop Customer Loyalty” is a global unit within Group IT. The mission of the unit is to ensure that the Volvo Group´s IT solutions and IT projects within the area of MAS/DCL are managed in an optimal way.

We are now looking for a Head IT Architect MAS/DCL

In your role you will be accountable for the architectural quality in all IT projects within SDU MAS-DCL, securing that they are in line with the EA framework. You will also ensure that implementation of solutions are in line with defined roadmaps & target architecture and are also expected to contribute to evolve the target architecture.

Role mission & context

As Head IT architect SDU MAS/DCL you will be overall accountable for securing architectural compliance in line with delegated responsibilities within Group IT. In this context you will be functional reporting to the VP of SDU MAS/DCL.

You will be the first escalation level for architectural issues for projects owned by MAS/DCL.

You are also responsible for communicating architectural decisions and to support the architectural community within MAS/DCL.

Key responsibilities

Drive implementation of solution roadmaps in line with the target architecture for the solution portfolios within SDU MAS/DCL

Accountable for architectural quality in projects within SDU MAS/DCL, in line with EA framework

Resolve architectural issues e.g. escalated from projects & solutions

Represent Group IT in applicable EA Workgroups, i.e. L1 Process Workgroups, Application Architecture Governance workgroup, Integration workgroup within MAS/DCL area

Communicate EA decisions, changes and information within MAS/DCL
