About The Role

Qualifications and personal skills for the Competence Manager role are advantages in this recruitment, but the main emphasis in this recruitment will be on personal suitability for the role. Network building, individual drive, coordinating skills, cultural understanding, stage-smart (a good presenter), intuitive, administrator, long-term strategic while paying attention to details must all be areas of personal interest. It will however help in the position if you have:

Experience from planning, driving and coordinating trainings

Worked within the area of Dealer Development

Very good knowledge in English

Experience from working in an international multi-cultural environment

Volvo Penta is evolving on all levels. We are facing an increase in technical complexity of our products, new processes and systems to support our customers who are every day increasing their demands and expectations on the Volvo Penta dealer network. Region International is now investing to future proof our dealer network by hiring a Competence Manager who shall lead the way towards increased customer satisfaction and market readiness by increased competence throughout the dealer network.

The Competence Manager will be responsible for the competence development within all aftermarket areas within the region covering; technical training, soft skill development and new systems rollout trainings. The main areas of responsibility will be:

Set and secure resource the yearly training plan for Technical Training supporting product launches and specific training needs identified by Importers, Market Units or OEMs within the region

Be the regional representative in the Global Technical Training team and coordinate participation of regional MU trainers and Importer Area trainers to Global Train the Trainer sessions

Securing that our regional training facilities are meeting decided standards and coordinating the availability of training components. Responsible for technical training investment plan

Key user and admin of the Navigator tool supporting registration and follow-up of all trainings decided to be rolled out in the region

Drive strategic long-term competence development based on aftermarket roles and/or areas. Role unique training paths, Regional competence programs, system trainings etc

Volvo Penta Partner Network key user in the region

The Competence Manager role within Region International is a new position and there will be great opportunities to develop the entire competence area jointly with representatives from our Market Units, Importers and central functions within Global Aftermarket.
