Critical Competencies

Hold a university degree and/or MBA

5-10 years of experience in leading global controlling position

Extensive knowledge in the project controlling area

Good understanding of the Volvo Group Businesses Within GTT Controlling and Strategy, Range and Project Control (R&PC) supports RnP in managing financials of the project portfolio. The team will be in charge of driving the profitability analysis and the financial controlling of individual projects and of the range portfolio. The Department is also supporting the GTT project budget and forecast process (project view) in close connection to GPPL.

The position of Director Range Controlling Heavy Duty Trucks is an exciting and challenging management position leading and monitoring the controlling and financial issues within the product range Heavy Duty Trucks.

Mission

In this role, you are a pro-active member of the R&PC management team, and you are responsible for the HDT project follow-up and for the financial follow-up of the profitability of the range. You work closely to the VP Heavy Duty Trucks Range, the CPMs and all other functions involved in the projects to prepare and anchor financial material for decisions, securing the long term profitability of the Truck Divisions.

Team player, you secure a culture of continuous improvement developing and maintaining appropriate financial global processes and systems to secure the financial management of the portfolio. Supported by Finance PMs, you work to optimize the efficiency of our function and you work to continuously inspire, challenge and develop the R&PC organization

The function has the responsibility to secure compliance with GTT and Volvo Group financial policies when it comes to profitability analysis.

A prerequisite for success is an effective cooperation with a number of stakeholders across Group Trucks at large.

The position will be placed in Gothenburg.

Main Operational Responsibilities

  • To lead the network of competent, engaged and effective Finance PMs assigned to your portfolio
  • To quality assure the financial analysis supporting the decision on the HDT portfolio
  • To lead the financial analysis of the HDT portfolio. You secure the profitability and the balancing of the portfolio
  • To apply financial policies and principles
  • To actively contribute to and support the harmonization of the processes and tools for profitability analysis in projects and in the portfolio
