We are opening a new position in our Development & Engineering, Material and Package division that drives the development of industry leading solutions, specifications and capabilities for packaging materials, package, openings, secondary packing, closure, strips and straws. It leads the functional, capability and material strategy across all systems with a strong forward-looking perspective ensuring capabilities, know-how and pre-studies are available in advance of market needs. You will be part of shaping new ways of working, collaborating closely with our development programs and you will have the opportunity to shape this new role. What you will do You will lead our journey from physical modelling and testing to virtual modelling, focusing on: -Be part of the development and execution of Tetra Pak Virtual engineering strategy -Securing right resource and competences availability to our Scrum teams to meet current and future needs -Strategically develop competences and way of working for the future -Continuously secure that we build maturity in our virtual models to reduce physical verification -Collaborating with Scrum Master on team member development -Contributing to continuous improvement to remove organisational impediments This position will be located in Lund, Sweden, but you will work in a global arena. Who you are As a person, you are a change agent and long-term strategic thinker who can design a compelling vision of the future and make it happen through competence development and embedding new ways of working and drive change. You are passionate by research and new technologies with focus on applications for machines or technologies from other industries that can be transferred into our field. You have an innovative, positive and open mindset and enjoy working in a results-driven and collaborative atmosphere together with your team of experts and peers, being able to motivate and bring them with you. You are a solid people leader having minimum 5 years experience of leading a virtual modelling and simulation team (CAE) in an industrial environment (i.e. automotive, aerospace or manufacturing industry) and experience in a science related field. You have a MSc Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics or Mathematics and you are fluent in English, verbally as well as in writing. You also have knowledge of modelling of complex materials, solid and fluid mechanics, heat transfer and how to integrate models to complete value chain models. We also expect general knowledge of statistical analysis and knowledge of building digital twins in an industrial environment and have been part of driving a change journey moving from physical verification to a virtual simulation environment.
