Senior Product Marketing Manager
tracksuit-limited · Auckland, New Zealand
About The Role
We're committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace, a place where we can each be ourselves and do the best work of our lives. At Tracksuit, we consider a unique perspective, diverse experience and a growth mindset to be of greater value than ticking every box on a JD. If you think you have what it takes but don't have the exact experience we've set out, please still get in touch and apply. We'd love to chat! đ
At Tracksuit we provide beautiful, radically affordable, always-on brand tracking that's easy to use compared to traditional methods. We recognise that sounds like a ton of buzzwords for marketers, so what it really means is that we did millions of surveys last month to find out what real humans think and feel about the world's best brands and their competitors. Ready to own the data story underneath everything we sell?
We're looking for a sharp and curious Senior Product Marketing Manager to join our Marketing team and own how Tracksuit talks about its data and methodology.
This is a senior individual contributor role reporting to our Head of Product Marketing, and it's genuinely a builder's opportunity. Product marketing at Tracksuit defines how we communicate our product: deeply understanding our customers, competitors and the market, developing defensible positioning, building narratives, and telling customer stories. Within that, you'll own the parts of our product that carry the most weight with buyers: our methodology, data quality narrative, and emerging data approaches.
Tracksuit is redefining what good brand tracking looks like, and our methodology is evolving as a result to give marketers better, faster, and more actionable answers. The shape of this work will keep evolving as the product and market do, and you'll help shape it.
The Important Bits
This is a permanent, full-time role based in Auckland, NZ or Sydney, AU . You'll report to the Head of Product Marketing and work cross-functionally across the business, especially with Product, Research and Insights, Content and Comms, and our go-to-market teams in Sales, Customer Success and Enablement.
Our environment is collaborative, ambitious and fast-moving, with a strong bias toward ownership, keeping things simple and getting them into market.
As our Senior Product Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for
- Owning our data and methodology story end to end: own Tracksuit's positioning and messaging on methodology and data quality to demonstrate rigour without the complexity thatâs inherent in the market research industry. You'll deeply understand the competitive landscape, and run research to understand how buyers perceive data approaches and use those insights to shape our POV and influence our product direction. Youâll also partner with Product and Research to keep the narrative in sync as the methodology evolves, and measure how our positioning lands across the funnel so you can sharpen the story and prioritise where to invest next.
- Leading go-to-market for launches: working within our narrative-led approach, you'll own the launch strategy, positioning, messaging, content development and cross-functional coordination needed to land data and methodology launches well, inside and outside the business.
- Owning how customers experience our data across the lifecycle: design the content, frameworks and programmes that help customers trust and defend our data inside their own organisations, and shape the key moments along the way, from how we handle objections in sales to how we explain methodology at onboarding.
- Equipping our go-to-market teams: giving Sales, Customer Success, partnerships and marketing the positioning, proof points, objection handling and training they need to hold their own in technical conversations, and partnering with Enablement to embed it.
That's the role, so who are you?
- You have 7+ years in marketing, with at least 3 in product marketing.
- You've owned a technically complex positioning area end to end before, from research through to enablement.
- You can build genuine fluency in an unfamiliar domain and form a clear, defensible point of view on it.
- You have strong research instincts, both qualitative and quantitative, including the ability to design research that answers a real positioning question.
- You're a sharp communicator, in writing and out loud, with a knack for making a technical story feel simple without dumbing it down.
- You think analytically and strategically, and you can turn market signals into positioning recommendations.
- You're confident partnering with Product and representing the customer view back into the roadmap.
- You prioritise ruthlessly across multiple workstreams, work well independently, and stay calm in ambiguity.
- Youâre a kind, curious human with a growth mindset to try new things, which matters given how fast we're growing.
What does success look like?
- Go-to-market teams have a clear, defensible point of view on data and methodology that they actually use in sales and customer success conversations.
- Launches drive real product engagement, with customers adopting and using what we bring to market.
- Data and methodology objections become easier to handle, and show up less often as blockers in deals we win and renew.
- Customers use our education resources to understand and defend Tracksuit's data inside their own organisations.
- We have a live competitive view that shapes how Tracksuit responds to market and methodology moves.
- Customer and market insight is visibly influencing the product roadmap.
