Desirable experience and qualifications

Qualifications in academic Technical education, MSc or equivalent

Leadership competence and capabilities

Experience in engine certification process

Experience of working with authorities

Experience of reading and interpret emission legislation

Experience of technical documentation

A structured and accurate way of working

Fluent in Swedish and English is a minimum. Other language skills are welcome

Good communication skills, both in terms of reports, presentations and in discussions

The Engine Certification Department is now looking for a new leader.

About us

The Engine Certification Department is responsible for emission certification for all Volvo Penta products all over the world. We work with both marine and industrial engines. We have a broad network both internally and externally.

Position description

Are you passionate about sustainability and environmental issues? Are you interested in working and developing the certification team and process at Volvo Penta? Do you appreciate leading an engaged team with competent colleagues in a stimulating international environment? Do you value working in a diverse team? If so you might be the one we are searching for!

In this position you will lead a team of 10 highly skilled people. The main task for this group is to secure that we receive and maintain valid certificates of our products. We are represented during all stages of our projects. The group also have contacts with authorities all around the world. Since interaction with both external and internal contacts is crucial for achieving results, good networking and communication skills are of high importance.

Core responsibilities

Strategic planning and responsible for Engine Certification Department

Resource planning for projects regarding certification engineers

Develop the certification process and interaction with other departments

Handling of all emission (exhaust and noise) certificates for Volvo Penta

Develop the Team members
