Challenge Description

The Volvo Penta vision is to be the world leader in sustainable power solutions. We have a history of innovation and enjoy strong market positions based on our current product and service offering. We are now in the starting blocks of developing next generation products and solutions that will be connected, electrified and automated. The New Business Development team has the task to facilitate and accelerate this transformation.

Right now we are looking key contributor in the transformation towards electrified solutions and new businesses.

Key Activities and Responsibilities

• With a focus on Electromobility, drive investigations, from customer and business perspectives, to support the development of a profitable new business portfolio.
• Drive initiatives to develop Volvo Penta’s internal Electromobility capabilities.
• Inspire and evolve people in other functions to become active contributors to new Electromobility solutions.

• Experience from working with business development in relevant fields and in a global business environment.
• A good understanding of different Electromobility solutions.
• Experience from any of the following areas will also be highly valued
• cross-functional project management
• renewables integration
• charging infrastructure
• service development
• design thinking/lean start-up methods
• business transformation
• connectivity solutions
• autonomous solutions
• business development within commercial vehicle, machine or marine segments
• Excellent English skills
• A relevant university degree
