About You

We are looking for engineers that really like embedded systems and have some years of work experience in developing embedded systems. You should also like working in team, be self-motivated and have a supporting attitude.

Experience and Qualifications

BSc or MSc degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent

Deep passion for Automotive EE Architectures and Electronic Controls Systems

Naturally technical, able to employ fundamental engineering principles

High self-motivation, willingness to learn and develop

Ability to work as a team member but also independently

Knowledge of automotive network protocols, e.g. CAN, LIN, Ethernet

Good understanding of vehicle level system integration in terms of hardware and software

Within the area of Core Technology Electrics & Electronic Platform we are looking to hire two responsible Electronic System Architects, one for Machine Control domain and one for HMI and Connectivity system domain. These are two senior level E/E system architecture positions.

Our department, Embedded System and Hardware, is responsible for the overall electrical systems architecture and its common used EE components within Volvo CE machines. As part of the E/E Embedded System team, you have the opportunity to work with a variety of systems, people and platforms cross products to shape the future of our electronic systems, to support e.g. Hybrid Powertrain systems, Machine Control systems (X by wire), HMI/UX and connectivity systems.

As an Electronic System Architect you'll be involved and have a leader role in the design and implementation of the whole-machine EE architecture, systems interaction, distributed functionality, of new and existing Volvo CE products. The work involves future EE platform technologies, with a wide and complex scope touching optimisation, robust design, functional safety and cyber security, network communication, diagnostics, offering a great opportunity of personal and technical development.
