eleQtron GmbH · Siegen, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany
About The Role
eleQtron develops and operates full-stack quantum computers based on trapped-ion technology. Quantum computing is a new computing paradigm rapidly approaching commercial viability. Our unique approach combines laser-cooled trapped ions with microwave control and tailored magnetic fields. Our next-generation computing machines under development will be able to find solutions to problems that are out of reach today, thus enabling new innovative products and services for a brighter future.
We are looking for an HF Lab Engineer (m/f/d) to design, test, and optimize microwave and RF systems at the core of our trapped-ion quantum computing platform in Siegen.
Responsibilities
As a HF Lab Engineer in the Electronic Engineering Team, you will play a key role in testing, validating, and integrating RF systems that support our next-generation quantum computing platforms. In this role, you will work closely with our international team of physicists and engineers to develop, characterize, debug, and optimize high-frequency hardware systems in advanced laboratory environments.
- Installation, testing, and debugging of high-speed digital, RF, and low-noise analogue hardware for quantum computer applications
- Support system operation during the validation and characterisation of our quantum computing platforms
- Collaborate closely with engineering and firmware teams to develop and integrate RF systems for next-generation quantum technologies
- Take ownership of developing new validation protocols and defining characterization standards
