Building Maintenance Officer

£27,000.00 - £33,000.00 Per year ‌

We've got an opportunity for a Building Maintenance Officer to join our Keyworker team in Reading.

Our specialist keyworker housing offers self-catering accommodation ranging from shared flats for single residents to apartments and houses for couples or families. We provide flexible stays from one night to a year or more.

This role is part-time (25 hours per week), usually worked 10.00am – 3.00pm over 5 days Monday to Friday. We can be flexible with hours.

The Role

• As a Building Maintenance Officer you’ll be responsible for basic repairs across our keyworker accommodation in Reading.
• You’ll need general handyperson experience, basic plumbing and carpentry skills and the ability to understand ‘how it works’!
• A good level of IT is also essential, as you’ll be checking jobs, answering emails and using out internal system to log and describe repairs.
• The starting salary is £18,243 - £22,297 (£27,000 - £33,000 full time equivalent).
• What you'll need

• Experience in general repairs
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• To be approachable, reliable and flexible
• The ability to communicate clearly and confidently with our customers
• A full driving licence, as you will be travelling between sites

A DBS check will be required for the successful candidate.
