About The Role

Job Summary

  • To provide services for the continued maintenance of the building fabric owned or leased by The Maritime Financial Group.
  • To provide support to other technicians in the Property Management Unit

Primary Responsibilities

  • Repairing and painting of internal walls to include handrails
  • Repairing cracks and chips on internal walls in accordance with the schedule
  • Painting internal walls and handrails in accordance with the schedule
  • Maintaining door locks, butts/hinges
  • Ensuring locks are functioning properly
  • Lubricating butts/hinges
  • Repairing and replacing ceilings
  • Replacing suspended ceiling tiles as necessary
  • Repairing gypsum and plywood ceilings as necessary
  • Maintaining roof gutters and repairing minor roof leaks
  • Ensuring roof gutters are cleaned and kept in good repair
  • Repairing minor roof leaks as necessary
  • Ensuring floor finishes are kept in good repair
  • Replacing defective floor tiles
  • Ensuring carpets and mats are secure and do not create a safety hazard
  • Ensuring walkways, ramps, and car parks are kept in good repair
  • Repairing minor structural defects, cracks, and pot-holes in walkways, ramps, and car parks
  • Pressure washing walkways [Ground level from loading bay heading north to condensers]
  • Completing Job Maintenance Log of all activities performed
  • Providing necessary information on invoice with respect to location, unit, and work performed
  • Submitting completed log by the first work day of the month to the Facilities Manager
  • Maintaining tradesman storage areas in a safe and orderly manner and disposing of irreparable materials & equipment
  • Maintaining personal issued Company tools which have to be replaced if lost or damaged, through negligence, at Team Member’s expense
  • Liaising with external consultants/providers as and when required

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Performing the duties as a member of the HSSE Emergency Fire Brigade team
  • Relocating of furniture and equipment as required
  • Assisting with special exercises and reports organized by and/or required from the Unit

Qualifications

Education

  • Must be certified in masonry and carpentry and
  • Computer literate

Experience

  • 5 years in an industrial or commercial environment
