About The Role

The position is to work in an international environment part of the GE Europe generator engineering service team.

In this role you will utilize your experience and technical expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and need an ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.

Essential Responsibilities

The work also consists of supporting field service and customer in the area of electrical dimensioning and diagnostics as part of the GE objective to deliver service and availability of GE customer’s equipment in electric power production. In the role it is also possible to deepen knowledge in control systems for generators.

You will be responsible for

Executing the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements

Providing technical leadership to personnel supporting the assigned project

Documenting technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures

Providing timely communications on significant issues or developments

Participating in teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues

Participating as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews

Assuring proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures

Qualifications/Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science (or a high school diploma / GED with strong engineering, scientific or other technical experience)

Experience in high voltage and electro mechanical dimensioning

Fluent in Swedish, oral and written

Fluent in English, oral and written
