About The Role
The teacher’s primary responsibility is to ensure student-learning success, providing for the individual learning needs of each student in line with the ISK mission, vision and educational aims. Teaching responsibility normally includes a combination of general high school courses such as English 9, 10, 11, 12 as well as International Baccalaureate (IB) English A courses (at standard and/or higher levels). Assignment may also include any other course that may be reasonably assigned (e.g., Creative Writing, Theory of Knowledge, Topics in Cinema). Additionally the teacher will be expected to participate in a variety of collaborative teams and committees, fulfil supervision duties as assigned including some evening and weekend events (as well as off-campus trips), serve as advisor to a small group of students, advise students on their Extended Essays or other projects, and supervise/coach one co-curricular activity in the course of the year.
