  • 2026 As a Process Engineer, you will play a critical role in
  • establishing, sustaining, and continuously improving advanced
  • semiconductor manufacturing processes. With deep technical expertise,
  • you will use data-driven analysis and structured problem-solving
  • methodologies to optimize manufacturing performance and support stable
  • high-volume production. As part of a high-volume 24/7 fab operation,
  • the role focuses on ensuring tool performance, improving uptime,
  • reducing defects, and supporting stable production. The position
  • requires openness to scheduled and occasional shift work, on call
  • duty, includes an initial induction and training period in Dresden of
  • one month, followed by one year of on-the-job training in Taiwan. If

  • Design and execute experiments, interpret complex results, and derive
  • actionable insights from data sets to optimize manufacturing processes
  • and achieve precision control at atomic levels. 2. Apply statistical
  • process control methods to establish and sustain robust and stable
  • manufacturing processes. 3. Qualify and sustain manufacturing
  • processes to support capacity expansion while maintaining speed,
  • stability, and quality. 4. Collaborate effectively with equipment and
  • material suppliers and internal engineering partners to identify
  • technology gaps, process limitations, and improvement opportunities,
  • and evaluate sustainable solutions. 5. Drive continuous improvements
  • in process stability, capability, yield, productivity, quality,
  • reliability, and safety. 6. Support manufacturing operations in a 24/7
  • high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment, including
  • scheduled evening shifts, weekend support, on-duty, and on-call
  • responsibilities based on business needs. Profile 1. Legally eligible
  • to work in Germany. 2. Available for approximately one year of
  • on-the-job training in Taiwan. 3. Open for scheduled and occasional
  • shift work, on call duty. 4. Degree in electronics, electrical
  • engineering, mechanical engineering, mechanics, mechatronics, material
  • engineering, or an equivalent field. 5. Practical experience in a
  • mechanical or equipment-related field. 6. Understanding of technical
  • documentation and schematics. 7. Knowledge of semiconductor
  • manufacturing is a plus. 8. Fluent in English with good command of
  • German. 9. Hands-on working attitude with an open mindset. 10. Strong
  • communication and interpersonal skills. 11. Able to perform physical
  • work on tools in a cleanroom environment. Important Candidate
  • Information: Start Date: This role is planned to commence on October
  • 1, 2026, in Dresden. Depending on your needs and timeline preferences,
  • January 1, 2027, can be considered as an alternative start date.
  • Onboarding and International Training: The first month of your
  • employment will be spent in Dresden. Following this initial
  • onboarding, training, and integration with your new team members, you
  • will travel to Taiwan for a one-year on-the-job training and knowledge
  • transfer program. Your training in Taiwan will involve close
  • collaboration with experienced TSMC engineering teams. You may also
  • receive additional training and support at TSMC’s state-of-the-art
  • Newcomer Training Center in Taichung. Training Logistics: For
  • employees requiring accommodation during the first month in Dresden,
  • and who reside more than 90 minutes away, ESMC will organize
  • appropriate temporary lodging. This provision does not apply to
  • employees who establish a residential address in Dresden (e.g., to
  • expedite work permit procedures away from their original place of
  • residence) or who terminate a personal lease contract in Dresden prior
  • to their planned departure to Taiwan. Furthermore, ESMC will organize
  • and provide air and ground transportation from Dresden to Taichung
  • (Taiwan) and back at the conclusion of the training. Accommodation in
  • Taiwan will be provided in one of TSMC’s modern and comfortable
  • company dormitories. Role Requirements and Expectations: This is a
