The Opportunity

As the Manager, Transportation Execution - Global Logistics Americas , you are accountable for setting the direction and strategy for the Roche Diagnostics Americas Transport Execution team. In this role, you will recruit, hire, and establish a new team of logistics professionals responsible for coordinating and scheduling all domestic and international Roche Diagnostics Americas shipments. You will oversee transportation coordination activities across the Americas supply chain network to ensure optimal service while maintaining quality and cost efficiency.

  • Recruit, onboard, and develop a high-performing team of individual contributors, establishing performance standards and a collaborative team culture.
  • Develops, recommends, and implements processes that aid in the execution of transportation programs related to Roche Diagnostics Americas logistics, ensuring seamless alignment with Global Operations goals.
  • Collaborates closely with Order Execution and International Order Management, warehouse leadership, Global Transport Management, Freight Forwarding partners, and Global Procurement to effectively manage daily outbound shipment volumes across the Roche warehouses and 3rd party warehouse partners. Serves as the escalation point for rapid shipping changes, carrier capacity constraints, and delivery disruptions for both US direct-to-customer and international replenishment channels.
  • Co-leads regular business reviews with domestic and international logistics service providers to ensure adequate service levels, quality, and capacity for Roche Diagnostics shipment volumes.
  • Leads the operational implementation, team adoption, and on-going operational training of Roche’s Transportation Management System (TMS).
  • Develops, implements and continually analyzes effective monitoring, evaluation and improvement actions for performance of all carrier services to ensure shipment integrity, on-time delivery, and effective claims/invoicing resolution.
  • Cultivates external partnerships by actively managing strategic relationships with logistics providers, suppliers, and service vendors. Provides operational and service level content required for all procurement RFQs related to transportation activities.
  • Establishes and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the health, safety, quality, and financial performance across the regional transportation network, and effectively interacts and communicates with senior leadership for business reviews and KPI reporting.
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation in transportation management processes.

Who you are

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Professional experience: 5-7 years of Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, or related experience.
  • People Leadership: Minimum of 2–3 years of experience managing and developing teams, with a proven track record of hiring or building team capabilities preferred.
  • Advanced technical and operational knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS) functionality and workflow implementation (SAP TM knowledge a plus).
  • Proven experience working with 3rd-party logistics providers (3PLs), covering both domestic and international transportation modes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indiana is $76,600-$142,200. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
