Supervises the Strategic Communications Division staff and coordinates projects, resources, and activities to ensure efficient operation of the assigned division.
Work is performed under the supervision of the Deputy Director. This position does supervise.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages operations within the Strategic Communications Division to develop, enhance, or sustain quality of service by providing process and program development and oversight, resolving complex issues, developing and communicating division and individual expectations, policies, procedures, and strategic direction.
  • Supervises and oversees the daily operations of the assigned area by setting goals and objectives, managing schedules and work priorities, monitoring and evaluating performance, facilitating access to resources and training, providing guidance and addressing issues, conducting interviews, and making hiring decisions.
  • Coordinates projects and activities between various divisions and departments.
  • Conducts research and makes recommendations to management.
  • Coordinates and prepares reports and correspondence.
  • Performs all other duties and tasks as assigned.

  • Often works under the following conditions: Some exposure to light physical or environmental conditions (noise, dust, weather, etc.).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Bachelor's degree Experience
  • Five (5) years of relevant experience Equivalency
  • Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.

  • Valid and unrestricted Arizona Class D Driver License – Arizona Department of Transportation – Motor Vehicle Division

Compensation Grade

G110 Hourly Range
