Staff Accountant (40 hours per week) #4444

• Reedsburg Area Medical Center is seeking a Full-Time Staff Accountant to join our team!
• Schedule: Monday through Friday
• Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of Accounting and Chief Financial Officer, the Staff Accountant works with other members of the Accounting team to maintain general ledger accounts, reconcile balance sheet accounts and prepare monthly financial statements. This individual assists with cost report, 990, and state survey preparation and other functions, as needed.

Job Relationships

Reports to the Director of Accounting and Chief Financial Officer; Collaborates with other RAMC personnel.

Education and Training Required

Bachelors degree in accounting preferred.

Experience

One (1) year of experience in accounting is desired.

Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Communicates effectively.
• Problem solving abilities.
• Handles confidential information.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently sits.
• Occasionally carries up to 15 pounds.
• Frequent use of hands on computer, adding machine and telephone.

Sight

Frequent use of site for reading documents and working on computer.

Cognition/Communication

Frequent communication with staff and Ridgeview neighbors on financial matters using hearing skills, comprehensive speech, simple and complex reading, writing and math skills.
