About The Role

- Define and implement the Field Maintenance & Managed Services category strategy.
- Drive category transformation through innovation, automation, and D2C initiatives. Lead sourcing projects, supplier negotiations, and contract renewals.
- Deliver savings, cost optimisation, and category performance targets.
- Manage key supplier relationships and support strategic sourcing decisions.
- Develop commercial and cost models to maximise business value.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align business requirements with category strategies.
- Ensure compliance with Supply Chain processes, policies, tools, and standards.
- Support category reporting, demand aggregation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partner with the Line Manager and category leadership to achieve team objectives.
- Budget holders, suppliers and third parties
- Leads RFQ, Negotiation and conclusion of contracts with suppliers over major deals working with Legal and internal stakeholders to ensure business requirements are met
- Accountable for managing relationships with and monitoring performance of key suppliers
- Identifies & evaluates potential future global suppliers
- Creates and maintains a supplier database for his/her category
Leadership and Teamwork
- Cooperates with the local market function and Shared Service Centers
- Supports the Line Manager and the Head of Leased Lines, Design to Cost and Managed Services to ensure success is recognized, takes appropriate measures to ensure improvement of day-to-day operations
Innovation and Change
- Responsible for developing and delivering the evolution of innovative commercial models
- Able to work & produce innovative solutions for 3rd party customers
- Contributes to best practice and provides input into SCM best practice forum
- Investigates and drives performance improvements on specific opportunities identified within the category
Communication
- Has a clear stakeholder engagement approach supported, when necessary, with a clear communication plan
Effective influence of internal stakeholders and external suppliers
- 2+ years of procurement experience, including sourcing, RFQ management, supplier negotiations, and contract lifecycle management
- Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Procurement, or a related field
- Proven ability to deliver measurable commercial results, including cost savings, spend optimization, and supplier value creation
- Exposure managing end-to-end RFQ/RFI processes, including supplier engagement, commercial evaluations, and contract negotiations
- Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to perform benchmarking, opportunity assessments, savings calculations, and procurement reporting
- Advanced stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with experience working across cross-functional and international teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present insights and recommendations clearly to stakeholders
- Experience drafting, negotiating, and administering a wide range of commercial agreements and procurement contracts
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and understanding of supplier management principles
- Proficiency in procurement and analytical tools, including Ariba, AVA, MS Excel, and data analysis platforms
- Ability to develop procurement dashboards, performance metrics, and reporting tools to support business decision-making
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent English language skills
- Knowledge of telecommunications, network infrastructure, software procurement, or technology categories would be beneficial
- Collaborative team player with experience contributing to category strategies, procurement projects, and continuous improvement initiatives
