About the Role
Sunshine Coast Radiology is seeking a motivated and experienced Sonographer to join our growing team.
Reporting to the Chief Sonographer , you will perform a variety of ultrasound examinations including breast, general, MSK, vascular and obstetrics and gynaecology within a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
You'll work alongside a highly skilled and supportive team of Radiologists, O&G Sonologist, Sonographers, and administrative staff , all committed to delivering exceptional patient care across the Sunshine Coast.
With 13 clinics spanning Caloundra to Cooroy , including two hospital sites , Sunshine Coast Radiology provides comprehensive imaging services throughout the region - with an exciting new clinic opening at Maroochy Private Hospital in 2026 .

Responsibilities include -
- Conduct a variety of scans including a mix of general, MSK, vascular, obstetrics and gynaecological studies.
- Enjoy a varied mix of hospital and private clinic work, as well as a state of the art, dedicated breast imaging clinic (if applicable)
- On-call work available.
- Collaborate with radiologists and colleagues.
- Ensure rooms are restocked, cleaned and patients are finalized.
About You -
- Bachelor of Medical Sonography/Graduate Diploma or Masters of Medical Ultrasound with current registration with ASAR.
- Ideally 2+ years postgraduate ultrasound experience.
- An all-rounder with competencies in a variety of ultrasound examinations including breast, general, obstetrics and vascular with a keen interest in MSK.
- Prepared to participate in a rotating weekend on-call roster between 5pm - 8am.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- A willingness to participate in further education and continued professional development programs.
- Experience with Canon is ideal.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build effective relationships and communicate with a diverse range of people internally and externally.
- Focused on providing consistently high‑level, patient‑centred healthcare.
