Accounting Specialist

As an Accountant Specialist, you will have a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, compliance with regulatory standards, and contributing to the overall financials of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and innovative environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update financial records, including expenses, revenue, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory and other GL entries.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial transactions.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and provide support as needed.
• Prepare bank and accounts reconciliations and third-party accounts reconciliations.
• Issuing invoices to customers and external partners, as necessary.
• Manage accounts payable functions, including invoice processing and vendor payments.
• Review and approve cash in/out requests on Zain Cash workflow.
• Validate credit interest related to deposits and call accounts.
• Prepare Cash Position report and other cash and bank track reports.
• Performing and ensuring on time reconciliations for Mobile Wallet & Cards business.
• Performing regular reconciliation and analysis of revenue streams.
• Assist in the preparation of documents for audits and regulatory examinations.
• Performing basic office tasks, such as filing, data entry, answering phones, and processing mail, among others.
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close process.
• Performing other duties related to the job as assigned by the direct manager
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 4-6 years of experience in accounting or finance-related roles.
