Technical Assistant-Program Health & Capacity Building

Banyuwangi Hijau Programme

Location: Banyuwangi, Indonesia

  • Initial contract: 3-month fixed-term contract, with potential extension subject to programme needs and performance
  • Expected programme period: July 2026 to December 2027

Level: Technical Assistant

Background

Banyuwangi Hijau is a partnership programme with the Banyuwangi Government to accelerate solid waste service development across the regency. The programme requires strong implementation support, stakeholder coordination, and institutional capacity strengthening to support sustainable waste services.

Role Purpose

The Technical Assistant, Program Health & Capacity Building will support training, service quality monitoring, and implementation improvement across Waste Operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and support training materials, workshops, and learning activities.
  • Support capacity building activities for UPT, DLH, village governments, and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor service quality and operational consistency.
  • Identify implementation gaps and recommend improvements.
  • Support learning and knowledge sharing across implementation areas.
  • Contribute to programme reporting and implementation updates.

Requirements

Candidates should have

  • An S1 degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in training, facilitation, capacity building, or programme monitoring.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with government and community stakeholders.
  • Good organisational and reporting skills.
  • Good written Bahasa Indonesia skills.
  • Willingness to be based in Banyuwangi and travel regularly across the regency.

Experience supporting government or community learning initiatives would be an advantage.
