We are currently looking for a Supervisor, Woodhandling to lead the activities of the area in a safe, sustainable and efficient way, ensuring operational targets are met.

What you will do
- Deliver safe, reliable, and efficient Woodhandling operations, ensuring safety, environment, production, quality and availability targets are consistently achieved.
- Maximize area performance by minimizing downtime, eliminating process bottlenecks, and leading actions to reduce operational losses.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and sustainability requirements, driving continuous improvement in HSE performance.
- Lead cross-functional coordination with Maintenance, contractors, and other departments to secure seamless execution of operational plans, and contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the area’s maintenance strategy and practices to maximize equipment availability and performance.
- Improve equipment reliability and process capability through proactive performance monitoring, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Monitor and follow up contractor performance, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established standards and expectations
- Safeguard and continuously improve the area’s cost efficiency by optimizing resources, processes, and operational performance.
- Ensure the availability of critical production materials and contribute to effective maintenance planning to sustain uninterrupted operations.
- Develop operator competencies through training, coaching, and knowledge sharing and best-practice transfer across teams and shifts, fostering a high-performing and engaged team.
Who you are
- You have a university degree in Production, Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- You have relevant experience in the process industry, preferably in the pulp or forestry sector.
- You have a good level of spoken and written English.
- You have great teamwork and communication skills.
- You have leadership and decision-making capabilities.
- You have strong organization, planning, and follow-up skills.
- You have the ability and willingness to learn.
- You have a positive attitude.
- You are willing to relocate to Paso de los Toros or Durazno.
