We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Senior Controller (m/f/d) to support the financial management and performance of our manufacturing operations. Reporting to the Plant Manager and Finance Manager, the successful candidate will provide financial control to the plant, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong cost control, effective budgeting and forecasting, and strong business partnering with operational leaders.

The Senior Plant Controller will play a key role in driving profitability, improving operational performance, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and accounting standards. Senior Controller (m/f/d)

Your core responsibilities include

  • Lead all plant controlling activities and ensure transparent, accurate financial reporting.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, annual planning, and closing processes.
  • Analyze financial and operational performance, identify risks and opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations to management.
  • Monitor and steer key KPIs including profitability, manufacturing costs, productivity, working capital, cash flow, and investments.
  • Partner with operational teams to drive cost optimization, efficiency improvements, and performance targets.
  • Prepare business cases, investment evaluations, and strategic financial analyses.
  • Ensure transparency of product costing, inventory performance, and cost center management.
  • Support audits, compliance requirements, and continuous improvement of controlling processes and tools.
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects and support the development of the finance organization.

Education & Professional Experience

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • several years of experience in Controlling or Finance, ideally within an international manufacturing environment.
  • Strong background in plant controlling, manufacturing cost controlling, or operational finance.
  • Proven expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and business partnering.
  • Automotive industry experience is a strong advantage.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong expertise in controlling, cost accounting, and performance management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
  • Ability to translate financial data into clear business insights and recommendations.
  • Proactive, hands-on, and results-oriented mindset with strong ownership.
  • Confident stakeholder management and the ability to challenge constructively.
  • Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and project management skills.

Salary: 66.000€ - 78.000€ Gross
