As an Operational Buyer in Visp , you will play a key role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials and services that keep our site operations running efficiently. Acting as a vital link between internal stakeholders and suppliers, you will help drive performance across the entire Purchase-to-Pay process. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to Arxada’s operational excellence by optimizing procurement processes, improving inventory availability, and supporting strategic initiatives in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Essential Job Functions

• Take ownership of the end-to-end operational procurement process, acting as the main point of contact for Purchase-to-Pay activities
• Manage MRP processes, ensuring optimal inventory levels and availability through SAP, including disposition parameter adjustments
• Coordinate internal requirements and procure technical goods, spare parts, and services in line with business needs
• Ensure timely processing and follow-up of payment transactions in the purchasing area
• Maintain and monitor key purchasing lists such as GR/IR, open purchase orders, cash management, and order acknowledgements
• Create and track contracts within the ERP system in collaboration with strategic buyers
• Support buyers on procurement projects and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in procurement, business management, sales, or a technical commercial environment
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP) and proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
• Ability to act as a connector across functions such as production, engineering, and workshops, fostering collaboration
• Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset with the ability to prioritize effectively
• Professional proficiency in German and English
