About The Role

Would you like to shape the external environment for one of Europe's most ambitious renewable energy companies? As Vice President, Global Stakeholder Relations you will drive our regulatory affairs and communications efforts at European Energy.

At European Energy, we are accelerating the green transition through renewable energy, Power-to-X, and energy storage solutions. We are looking for a Vice President, Stakeholder Relations to strengthen European Energy's brand, reputation and stakeholder relationships globally, while helping create the conditions that enable the green transition to accelerate.

This is a strategically important leadership role with responsibility for Regulatory Affairs, Public Affairs, Branding, Marketing, Events and Corporate Communications. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will help shape the external conditions that enable our business to grow while ensuring that European Energy remains a trusted and influential voice in the energy transition.

Your role

As VP, Global Stakeholder Relations, you will be responsible for shaping how European Energy is perceived across markets, stakeholders, and society. You will lead the development of a strong and differentiated corporate position that supports growth, attracts partners and talent, strengthens stakeholder trust, and supports our long-term business ambitions.

By overseeing Regulatory Affairs, Public Affairs, Marketing, Branding, Events, and Corporate Communications, you are creating alignment across these disciplines to ensure that European Energy speaks with one clear voice and builds lasting relationships with customers, policymakers, investors, communities, and industry partners.

A central part of the role will be to anticipate, understand, and influence regulatory developments affecting renewable energy, Power-to-X, electricity markets, permitting, and infrastructure development and connect this with commercial decisions and opportunities. You will ensure that regulatory and political developments are translated into actionable insights for the business and represented effectively in relevant policy discussions.

You will lead an international team covering regulatory affairs, public affairs, marketing and communications and work closely with Executive Management, commercial teams, sustainability, project development, and country organisations across the company.

Key responsibilities include

  • Defining and executing European Energy's global corporate affairs and stakeholder management strategy.
  • Strengthen and protect the European Energy brand across markets by building trusted relationships with regulators, policymakers, industry associations, and other key stakeholders.
  • Monitoring and influencing policy and regulatory developments across our markets.
  • Advising Executive Management on stakeholder, regulatory, and geopolitical developments that may impact the business.
  • Leading the company's marketing, communications, events, public affairs, and regulatory affairs activities
  • Leading European Energy's corporate communications agenda, including strategic positioning, reputation management, executive communications, and external messaging.
  • Ensuring a strong and consistent corporate narrative across markets, stakeholders, and communication channels.
  • Supporting the company's visibility and thought leadership on the future of energy, electrification, Power-to-X, and the green transition.
  • Ensuring consistent positioning and messaging across regions, markets, and communication channels.
  • Build and develop a high-performing international team.

What we are looking for

You bring substantial leadership experience from a senior role within regulatory affairs, corporate communication, public affairs, or a related field in the energy sector or another highly regulated industry.

You combine a strong understanding of regulatory and political processes with the ability to think and act commercially in a dynamic international environment.

  • Have extensive experience navigating in complex stakeholder groups (financial institutions, investors, policymakers and regulators), and engaging with them.
  • Understand the energy sector and the opportunities and challenges shaping the green transition.
  • Have led corporate communications, corporate affairs, or reputation management activities at a strategic level.
  • Are skilled at translating complex issues into clear and compelling messages for diverse audiences.
  • Have experience advising senior executives and working closely with leadership teams.
  • Are an inspiring leader who creates alignment and collaboration across functions and geographies.
