Essential Responsibilities
The role of “Risk Lead” is a position within the EHS Department in Uppsala.
Your primary responsibility will be to implement and manage a risk management culture and procedures as well as institute and assess barriers and mitigation strategies. Essential in this role will be your ability to engage and communicate with a number of key functions and activities on-site to achieve robust and long-term solutions
Your key responsibilities will be to implement, coordinate and improve all aspects of the site's risk management activities including tools such as Process Hazard Analysis, Bow-tie analysis and HEAT maps
The GE Healthcare facilities in Uppsala are classified as SEVESO“ Upper tier”
Coordinating and supporting site resources involved in SEVESO compliance and management are an expectation of this role
This role will represent the Site’s risk management activities during audits (internal and external) as well as ensure closure to all risk management-related audit findings
Responsibilities also include the investigation of incidents, near misses and Concern Reports to determine root causes, corrective and preventive measures
Qualifications/Requirements
- Master’s Degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or related field (or equivalent knowledge/experience)
- Experience from relevant chemical industry, preferably heavy chemical manufacturing Knowledge of SEVESO, Process Safety and other applicable legislation
- Knowledge and experience in risk analysis methods
- Experience in conducting risk management training
- Experience leading an organization through practical EHS solutions
- Compliance Audit skills
- Conversational skills in Swedish and English
- Proven skills in engaging, motivating and involving people
- Self-motivated, responsible and comfortable in making individual decisions
- Excellent communication capability
Desired Characteristics
Experience managing projects and/or EHS compliance
Able to simultaneously manage multiple projects and other responsibilities, adjust to changing priorities and to make decisions with speed and accuracy based on available information
Team player with strong interpersonal skills, capable of working within a globally diverse
