Descriptif missionPosition Summary: The Machining Process Engineer is responsible for developing, industrializing, and continuously improving machining processes to support safe, efficient, and high quality production. The role contributes to cost reduction, productivity improvement, and operator capability development through robust process design and technical expertise. Key Responsibilities: 1. Process & Industrialization o Lead the industrialization of new parts in coordination with Manufacturing Engineering and Quality teams. o Develop and optimize machining processes for turning, milling, and mill turn equipment. o Create and validate: o CNC programs (CATIA) o Fixtures and tooling solutions o Tooling lists and setup instructions o Process documentation and work instructions o Perform process simulation, verification, and prove out prior to serial production. 2. Production Support & Continuous Improvement o Provide technical support to production cells for quality and efficiency issues (QRQC, 8D). o Analyze root causes of process non conformities and implement corrective actions. o Propose and implement improvement actions to: o Reduce machining cycle time o Reduce consumables and non value added time o Improve overall equipment efficiency o Work closely with cell leaders to achieve cell KPIs. 3. Cost & Performance o Contribute to production cost reduction through optimized machining strategies and tooling selection. o Participate in capacity, investment, and equipment specification activities (tools, fixtures, gauges). 4. Training & Knowledge Transfer o Create machining and process training materials. o Train production operators to strengthen technical skills and process understanding. 5. Collaboration o Work effectively with cross functional departments and support a collaborative working culture. o Share best practices and lessons learned within the organization.
