CNA / Nurse Assistant - Travel/Contract - Seward, AK

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
• Safely transfer and reposition residents using appropriate equipment and body mechanics.
• Measure and document vital signs, intake/output, weights, and other observations.
• Observe residents and promptly report changes in condition to the nursing team.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Support residents with mobility, exercise, and restorative care programs.
• Promote infection prevention and follow all safety protocols.
• Provide compassionate emotional support while preserving resident dignity and privacy.
• Assist with meal service, hydration, and daily comfort measures.
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to provide exceptional resident care.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association preferred).
• Ability to perform physical duties including lifting, repositioning, and prolonged standing.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to providing compassionate, resident-centered care.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous Long-Term Care (LTC), Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), or nursing home experience.
• Experience caring for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR/EMR).
