Registered Nurse ( Labor & Delivery) - Per Diem - Fullerton, CA

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for obstetrical patients.
• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout labor and delivery.
• Interpret fetal heart rate tracings and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections.
• Perform obstetrical triage and comprehensive patient assessments.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and emergency obstetrical interventions.
• Provide patient and family education regarding labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Respond effectively to obstetrical emergencies and neonatal resuscitation situations.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical record documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia, NICU staff, lactation consultants, and case management to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
