About The Role

Athenry Truck and Refrigeration Centre Ltd are looking for 5 HGV Mechanics to join their team in Co. Galway, H65 NX33. This is a full time permanent position.

€45,000 - €54,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

40 hrs/week

Duties include but are not limited to

Service, maintain, and repair HGVs and trailers
Carry out advanced diagnostics and fault-finding on mechanical and electrical systems
Work on vehicles including MAN, Isuzu & Scania and comparable manufacturers
Complete inspections and preventative maintenance
Assist with maintenance of transport refrigeration units where required
Lead, support, and guide junior mechanics within the workshop
Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and compliance standards
Complete service records and job documentation accurately

Requirements

Qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (or Mechanical Fitter equivalent)
Minimum 5 years’ HGV/commercial vehicle experience
Strong diagnostics and fault‑finding skills
Ability to work independently and take a lead role
Full driving licence
