Automotive Mechanic

Location: Willows Automotive, Kill, Co. Kildare

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive Mechanic to join our growing team. This is a full-time, on-site position suited to an experienced technician who is committed to maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs.
  • Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment.
  • Prepare vehicles for NCT testing and complete any necessary repairs.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and identify potential issues.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop.
  • Work efficiently while ensuring all work meets manufacturer and industry standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as an automotive mechanic.
  • QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft – Motor Mechanic (or equivalent).
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full clean driving licence.
  • Hours: 39-hour working week.
  • 15 Minute Paid Break + 1 hour unpaid lunch.
  • Monday to Thursday: 9:00 am – 6:00 pm.
  • Friday: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.
  • Optional overtime available, paid at time and a half, where available.
