About The Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present freshly made dishes to Javinos’ quality and presentation standards
  • Maintain a structured and professional kitchen environment, ensuring consistency, timing, and coordination across all orders.
  • Adhere strictly to HACCP regulations and uphold rigorous food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Monitor stock levels and manage proper stock rotation to support a fresh-food operation.
  • Accurately record all food waste in the waste book in line with compliance procedures.
  • Label all food items daily and ensure that cleaning schedules are consistently followed and documented.
  • Work collaboratively under the direction of management, maintaining respectful and professional relationships with colleagues, front-of-house staff, and customers.
  • Ensure timely preparation of dishes while maintaining the quality standards expected in a casual dining setting
  • Deliver attentive and courteous customer service reflective of a sit-in dining experience.
  • Operate kitchen and service equipment safely and efficiently in a professional kitchen environment.
  • Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness and hygiene, exceeding statutory requirements.
  • Carry out any additional duties as reasonably directed by management.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a professional kitchen, preferably within a casual dining or full-service food environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP and food hygiene standards.
  • Proven ability to prepare fresh ingredients and present freshly made dishes to a consistently high standard.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a structured kitchen environment where dishes are prepared from scratch, from fresh ingredients, to order.
  • Strong organisational skills, with attention to stock control and waste management.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food quality.
  • Flexibility and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as required.

Terms

  • 39 hours per week
  • €36,605 per annum
