About The Role

We are looking to hire a Pharmacy Technician to support the safe and efficient operation of pharmacy services. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a registered pharmacist and assist with dispensing prescriptions, stock management, pharmacy administration, and customer service while ensuring compliance with legal and professional standards.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation, dispensing, and labelling of prescription medicines under pharmacist supervision.
  • Process prescriptions accurately and maintain pharmacy records.
  • Operate pharmacy dispensing software and point-of-sale systems.
  • Support stock control activities including ordering, receiving deliveries, stock rotation, and expiry date monitoring.
  • Assist with pharmacy claims processing and related administration.
  • Provide professional customer service and respond to customer enquiries.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant dispensary environment.
  • Support pharmacy healthcare services and health promotion initiatives.
  • Liaise effectively with pharmacists, healthcare professionals, suppliers, and colleagues.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, pharmacy regulations, health and safety requirements, and data protection obligations.
  • Undertake general pharmacy and retail support duties as required.

Key Requirements

  • Qualification in Pharmacy Technician Studies, Pharmaceutical Technology, Dispensing Technician Studies, or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience in a pharmacy dispensary environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to dispensing accuracy.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Competent computer skills and experience using pharmacy dispensing systems.
