Pharmaceutical Technician

Job Description

• Accurately interpret and process prescriptions, ensuring compliance with legal, clinical, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in the preparation, labeling, and dispensing of prescription and over-the-counter medications under pharmacist supervision.
• Maintain stringent inventory control by monitoring stock levels, expiry dates, and batch traceability to ensure continuous availability and compliance.
• Implement and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for medication handling, storage, and distribution.
• Perform medication reconciliation support by verifying patient medication histories and flagging discrepancies for pharmacist review.

Key Requirements

• Practical experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy environment, handling prescription and OTC medications
• Exposure to medication dispensing processes, including labeling, packaging, and verification workflows
• Hands-on experience with pharmacy management systems (billing, inventory, prescription tracking)
• Experience in inventory control and stock management, including expiry tracking and batch handling
• Familiarity with controlled substances handling and documentation protocols
